Scott Van Wyngarden brings nearly three decades of experience in the financial services industry and a relationship-driven approach to helping clients pursue their financial goals. Since joining Watermark Wealth Strategies in 2023, he has become an integral member of the team, valued for his professionalism, dependability, and unwavering commitment to client service.
Scott began his financial career in Scottsdale, Arizona as a mutual fund wholesaler before advancing into leadership roles, including District Manager and Vice President at Countrywide Bank, where he oversaw 11 banking locations throughout the northern Los Angeles region. He later spent 11 years with Union Bank, ultimately relocating to Florida to oversee operations across the state. His broad experience across banking, wealth management, and leadership provides clients with a well-rounded perspective and deep industry knowledge.
Known for his thoughtful and approachable demeanor, Scott has a natural ability to make clients feel comfortable, heard, and valued. He believes that successful financial planning begins with trust, careful listening, and a genuine understanding of each client's unique circumstances. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia University and hold the Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through LPL Financial.
Outside the office, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Katherine, their three cats, and is proud to once again call Arizona home after returning from Florida in 2023.
